Robert LaVoir's Family Sobbed as the Verdict Was Read Aloud
Dax Mac was found guilty of the first degree murder of Robert LaVoir. He appealed his conviction on several grounds, including that confessions given to undercover RCMP officers infringed on his rights. The Alberta Court of Appeal determined there was no basis for this argument and that the trial judge's instructions were adequate. Dax Richard Mac was given the automatic sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole for 25 years.
