Is There a Soft Landing?
People are talking about the prospect of this soft landing, which is what Jerome Powell and the managers of US capitalism have long been going for. So let me look at the big picture as you put it and put it in historical perspective. To celebrate the so-called soft landing that they hope will occur in the first half of this new year, to celebrate that is the equivalent of celebrating the following. You have just been hit by a car, you are arriving in injury and pain on the corner, and you notice that your left shoe didn't become untied in this horrible event and you're really grateful about it.
