Why Is That Copper Atom There?
There is an atom of copper at the tip of a statue in parliament square. It's there because atoms were created, collided and moved around in just such a way that to day it is where it is. The argument could be used to explain why anything, anywhere, any time happens. But here's another story which explains why it's there.
