The typical start up dies in the first year, maybe two years. The average business dies within five years of starting. So you already have to start changing things. And am honestly, in my experience of working on the back end and trying to be vender agnostic has resulted in some of the worst code that i've ever written. It's so much better to just say, we're going with these people. Go with that decision. Use the vendor. Re-writing your code a lot easier will make life simpler for you.
