Pemeral artery is the most common vascular access site with peripheral pemer pemeral veno arterial ecmo. Cenulation, oxygenated blood flows in a retrograde that is cautal to cranial direction in the aorta. The advantage of this cenulation strategy is that ecmo can be initiated outside of the operating room by using a percutaneous or surgical cut down approach.
