The Role of Race in School Discipline
There's a certain irony with the decision to send a kid away from a learning environment. We also know that experiencing school discipline is associated with a variety of outcomes that are generally not good. Students who experience suspensions and expulsions are less likely to graduate high school, less likely to persist in school.
