The Biggest Sequoia Ever Found

Artist Josh Winkler visited the Calaveras big tree grove in Arnold, California. The discovery tree is a giant sequoia that can grow to hundreds of feet high and live for over a thousand years. Like its cousin, the coastal redwood, giant sequoias are found naturally only in California. "Just the scale and size of these things is hard to convey," says Winkler.
