Is There a Doctrine of Free Culture?

In the book, i say that nationalism is just intrinsically illiberal. In other words, it's ok to be different. It's oka to be of a different culture and still be fully, truly american. And we shouldn't be trying to use the government to regulate culture in the same way we don't use the government for speech or religion. We have to be a bit comfortable with with cultural change and with difference. Aa, there's, i can an you do a little digression. Jas, i like thi. I hasten to add, i'm talking about classical liberalism, not the American political left.
