The Second Individualism

There is a second individualism as articulated by people like the German, German sociologist Ulrich Beck and Charles Taylor. The identity is not coming from the intermediate group that you're part of. It's coming from yourself. This has had huge implications for the church,. I don't think many people have realized this. So if you think about churches trying to offer these people something in response to what's going on... And I think we're fully articulated that response or truly understood it.
