Cristo silacetti was a corsican lawyer who had risen to a powerful position in the revolution government and became political patron of the bonapartes. Silocetti set out to neutralize every political faction on corsica hostile to the revolt. He pursued this goal unflinchingly, with every tool at his disposal,. royalists, palisti and any one else who got in salaceti's way were subject to a wave of arbitrary arrests and legal harassment. The delegation brought a guillotine with them. This was political warfare.
