The Importance of New Orleans in African Culture

New Orleans is the linchpin place for African culture in this hemisphere. The people were French, then Spanish, then French. So New Orleans has a lot of things going on for it that you don't see other places in the South. I tend to like places that are Creoleized and about mixing of cultures.
