Do Doctors Prescribe More Inappropriate Antibiotics Late in Clinic Sessions?

The same doctor seeing the same patient there at least 5% more likely to prescribe an antibiotic at the end of the day than at the beginning. This gets attributed to decision fatigue. You're either worn down or getting behind or as the work you've done stacks up, we kind of default to the easier, quicker thing. In the case of antibiotics, prescribe more inappropriate antibiotics late in clinic sessions and later in the day.
