I've also had a lot of really great roll models in the field, d especially in the form of some of the women who have really had to deal with the field of astronomy at a time when there was much less attention paid to equity and access and inclusion. Ah, there were plenty of women who made stunning scientific contributions anyway, in spite of having to clear all these sorts of hurdles that weren't put in front of men. And i did what was originally designed as a summer long project with him, and we still do research together to this day. He's been a wonderful scientific mentory, wonderful example of how really excellent scientists work.
