Doctors say there's no risk from getting DNA damage from a CT scan. Our body deals with more damage naturally than we do through medical diagnostics. If you happen to be an excessively overweight person, there's a cutoff when they can actually do an x-ray for you. Occasionally a machine fails. It happens. You see an example of where a person has a band of radiation burn around their head that's a CT scanner screwed up and burnt them.
