The Book of Ecclesiastes Teaches Us a Simple Lesson
The book of Ecclesiastes is written in much the same form as the book of Proverbs. It has a few important points for us to consider as well, including that you can't know the future perfectly. You cannot prevent disaster by wisdom, by acquiring wisdom in the world,. We cannot observe the created order to such a degree that we can act perfectly at all times so as to avoid any bad thing from happening to us. There was an overconfidence in the human ability to acquire wisdom in this way.
