The Connotation of a Female Refugee

There's some bare sense in which factually a woman refugee is something you just read off the facts. But then there are all these sorts of connotations to the concept which complicate things. And as Mark pointed out, there are these looping effects to human kinds so that the women can internalize these sorts of classifications. Someone who's just arrived can quickly internalize that label and then start enacting it. Those roles for them can be constructed. So instead of just being something that a role that is strictly read off thefacts, that it's something that we add a lot into.
