The Origins of Pazuzu
The court of fevers and plagues is said to have been constructed by the Jin on the orders of King Solomon. The exesist brought the Mesopotamian wind demon and primordial Jin into Western consciousness. He also turns up in William Burrow's novel City of the Red Night where he is called Lord of Fears and Plagues, Dark Angel of the Four Winds with rotting genitals from which he held through sharpened teeth over stricken cities. Although certainly evil, Pazuzu is curiously sometimes appears on on ancient amulets as a defense against other demons.
