The first toasters were built very different than what we have today. There was no like, big house ing around it. So that was just sort of exposed coils and slots on a little base. And so you were also like seeing the toast get toasted in front of you - which i think is kind of cool. I feel like as the toaster ages, the four becomes the fiveike, it has its own method.
