The New Research Is Trying to Establish if It's Safe
New research is trying to establish whether it's safe. Some one was actually born in 20 16 with dena from three different people. And they showed that it doesn't seem to affect the development of the embryos at all. The only thing is that when this technique is done, you do end up taking a little bit of the mitocontrial diane from the original mother who has the harmful mutation. So that could mean that later on you end up with some other things as well. But that's something we'll just have to get more data on.
