James and his parents have been living in the house for a few months by now. It was late one evening, my mother and I were the only ones in the house. We suddenly became aware of somebody walking around upstairs. And we were both tracking with our eyes the movement of the sounds. A slow, deliberate thump, thump,. thump walked into my parents' room as it approached their window. Bang! It sounded like the drunk had somehow got into the house.
