The Role of Hormones in Aggression
There are gender differences in self-reports of fear. Women, compared to men, report greater fear of animals like snakes and dogs. Compared to men, women are more likely to overestimate the probability of danger in an ambiguous situation. Overall, though, there is no question that there is any degree of confidence between males and females at least in terms of expression of emotions.
