The Problem With the Beginning of Life
We don't know how life began and we actually never really will know because nobody was there. What we can do is come up with conjectures on how it might have begun. Then we could try to mimic those in our laboratory and get those to work under laboratory conditions. Even if we had them, we can't put together a cell because you can just take a cell. We wouldn't even know how to do it. Every year the target gets further away from us.
