Phil Thurnali: Robert Smith was a man on a mission. He's like, I have to put these feelings into this album or I'm going to Ian Curtis. They were both super into found sounds and they were really into that David Byrne,. Brian Eno album, My Life in the Bush of Ghosts. The band happened upon a televised debate between the feminist Germaine Greer and the Monty Python comic Graham Chapman. Hence, the inspiration for the, I think, the title of the album.
