The Cultural Marxist Reinvention of Class Consciousness

Gramsci is the birthplace of cultural Marxism. He believed that there needs to be a kind of so-called working class intellectual, and with a working class intellectual has class consciousness or critical consciousness. The whole point of their intrusion into education was going to be the need for consciousness raising. Of course, the feminists were also deeply tied up with Marxist thought all the way from the beginning - they weren't all Marxists.
