The Importance of AI in the Real World
The B of algorithms, or AI, is simply they are programmed by people. They're basically mathematical principles applied to the real world. The idea is I would much rather figure out how to mitigate or eliminate bias in an algorithm much easier than trying to eliminate the conscious or unconscious bias. We have the ability to start applying those things at scale to things like public health, to things like all those things we do now that would actually help reduce some of the biases and inequities that are occurring today in theReal World.
