Five point four billion dollars worth of goods are taken through civil asset forfeiture every year. That's forty % more than that is stolen through burglaries by criminals every year. The police take 40% more stuff from the people than burglars take from the people. It's not you versus the police, it's your money versus the police. You'll never get that money back.
