How Much Time Should You Spend Building Relationships?
In a billion dollar company, you should be spending about at least 10 to 15% of your time on relationships in conversations. If the company has a lot of strategic initiatives going on and a lot of risk, I think that number's probably only 20%. There is no right or wrong number but that's how I thought. And I can remember times when I knew I wasn't spending enough time in those conversations and it probably was under four hours a week.
