The unpaid carrying work of parents, typically women, is missing. The living earth and the resource and throug flow is missing with recognition that banks create money. There's a lot of neat falsehoods that can get easily wrapped into a diagram. Human beings are driven sye some notion of self interest. So i don't think any intelligent economist has ever thought that a human being is an entirely fully informed person who simply calculates their best interests according to some single metric. And then goes out in pursues nobody. You'd have to be a complete lunatic to believe that. It's quite an interesting way of understanding what goes on. It's a simple way of trying to understand what
