What We've Learned From Spaceflight?
We've been going into spacewort for some 60 years or so, we've learnt a lot about food. The biggest thing was the whole segway into long duration space flight and how much more important food became. We needed a lot more variety to support a four or six months stay in space than we did for a two weeks shuttle flight. On long duration missions, you had to be sure that the crew members got their food on time, they had plenty of it. And on our side, on the production side, we quickly realized that we, cause of long duration, we were going to have to really expand our menu.
