There's a reason that marriage wasn't up for grabs at the time of the constitution, and that is because marriage has never been up for grabs. It was always considered to be the most part a prea political institution, an extra political institution. And this was recognized by the states. The states 30 sube states decided what marriage would be. In one sweeping act, the supreme court overruled that. Just ic roberts in his dissent, obergofe even said, look, if your four same sex marriage, then this is the day for you to celebrate. But as you celebrate, don't celebrate the constitution, because this decision has nothing to do with the constitution.
