The Power of Grace
I think that there's such pain in thinking that you yourself, your idea of self, carries the weight of responsibility for fixing some of the problems that are before us. One really harmful narrative in our culture is that they are the faults of individuals rather than a collective fault. And I wonder if that both saddles us with something that makes it impossible to operate or take action and also perhaps misplaces both the origin and the point of action.
