When could you involve rather than feel like you have to solve it for yourself? Effective leader skill number two is about space and support. This is all about giving people the space that they need, but also knowing that you're there if they need you. And then our final skill in terms of effective leadership an d puti yourself in leadership mode. I always think of it a bit like being a helicopter, where as a leader you've got to know when to land and when to take off and when to sort of be hovering. It's easier to go off and do something by ourselves, because we're in control of that,. We can just sit by ourselves and write some power point slides
