Metal Detectors - I'm a Professional Archaeologist.

Archaeologists were hesitant to use metal detectors because they did not want to lead the public to the idea that you can just go out and loot. But if you find one thing, artifacts can move there by other reasons. And so with regard to coronado, it's superimportant that little encampments are for the most part overnight. When somebody takes one of those out, it's harder to find next time.
