AUB and Quality of Life in Women Starting Anticoagulant Therapy
In registries and randomized trials of anticoagulation therapy, definitions of relevant clinical bleeding have focused on new bleeding. These do not capture well the worsening of normal bleeding, such as with menstruation. De Jong and colleagues conducted the first perspective study to quantify the burden of AUB in women starting anticoagulant therapy due to active VTE. Their observational study was conducted at 12 hospitals in 8 European countries between August 2018 and September 2021.
