If you're going to splash out on a good chicken, it's still going to cost you less than a rib of beef. Chickens definitely cheaper than red meat anyway. You want to make sure it has quite a plump breast with a kind of slightly thinner leg. If you see the non free range ones, they usually have realy, kind of plump legs.
