The USS Indianapolis got into the war less than 24 hours after Pearl Harbor. She searched in vain for the Japanese carries of Kirito Butai within the day and the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Andy's job was to provide anti-aircraft screening support for Lex. Sarah Toga had a star crossed career in the early part of the war, but she took quite a few torpedoes.
