The Orientalism of Chinese Immigrants
There are various stereotypes of Chinese immigrants that date all the way back to the 19th century. The assumption is that unless stopped, China will impose its own backward political and cultural civilization onto the West. There's also this ecosystem of like national security, think tanks, corporate media and defense contractors that are active in this media narrative around China.
