The Origins of Cumberland
In 2001, I was graduating in the University of Chicago and someone from the ERW came to do an interview on campus. They come after the investment banks and they say, they just pummel you with two digit by two digit multiplication questions. That's why I got a math degree just to multiply. And it also helped that they were looking someone from athletics too. So I was a soccer player. Once you go into the pits inside the CME or the CBOT, a physical presence actually matters where some of the best traders weren't the brightest people, but they could physically push you.
