The first lock down meant that fewer people died during that period than would have otherwise died by flattening the curve. But did the government make full use of that lock down in terms of what could have perhaps inspired more public confidence? And yet, those included things like widespread availability of testing and a test trace and isolate programs. At least would have been able to manage it without restrictions on unbusinesses.
