The Four Kinds of Rights Hofeld Discusses

A third kind of right, Hofeld called a power. Power here means the power to perform some act that has legal effect. Fourth kind of relationship he discusses is an immunity; one's legal position cannot be altered by another. Some of the rights that make up the Bill of Rights appended to the United States Constitution are then really immunities.
