Why I'm Not Progressing as Quickly as I Should

I'm studying Valencia at the moment and it does happen to me because as a language teacher I know how many faults I have. The only reason I'm not progressing as quickly as I should is because I don't practice enough. Another cause of not wanting to practice and speak and improve fluency is due to maybe negative past experiences at school. You were in classrooms before when you were young or maybe you had a bad experience in a language academy and you didn't like the teacher. Maybe somebody laughed at you once for making a mistake and that stuck with you. So this is almost a trauma of past experiences that prevents you progressing and improving your fluency.
