The History of Yemen - A Brief History

In October, US resident and Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi is assassinated by Saudi agents in Istanbul. This raises additional questions about the US support for Riyadh's war on Yemen. UN efforts to mediate between the Yemeni government and the Houthi rebels in Geneva, Switzerland are fruitless. At the end of 2018, November and December, the US political establishment begins to have some unrest for withdrawing US support from the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen.
