Vladimir Putin's Legacy
Vladimir Putin is very keen on history and the lessons that he thinks it might provide for the future. He's trying to construct a legacy, which includes recreation of an idea of great Russia. The Kremlin understands security in a completely different way from what's become the norm over the last 20 or 30 years. I think Mr Putin believes that the West transgressed those rights since the end of the Cold War. And part of his legacy I think is to say very clearly enough, this stops. We're a great power and we are going to behave"
