The Past Is Not Happy, but It's Not
When we try to bring any kind of past hurt into a present moment experience, we're simply trying to keep the past alive. The only thing about the past that you can accept is that it's gone. It doesn't exist. If we choose to be happy, we choose to let all things be exactly as they are. That's where the happiness is. It's not from trying control the dream. Jesus tells us happy dreams come true, not because they're dreams, but because they're happy.
