The Rockies have a roughly middle of the pack farm system now according to most of the rankings out there. They are not willing to go away from their scout draft and develop model that they have been doing for probably the entire existence of the colorado Rockies. You just have to hope that when those players arrive they will not basically light money on fire every time they sign a free agent around that core.
