I Want to Build a Tower
This is hyperbole. He's not actually saying, you get to hate your mammis like, that's right. It's jesus. That's a whole don't misread jesus here. And then he goes on to say this, whoever does not carry their cross and follow me, cannot be my disciple. Can you imagine what would you do if jesus said that to you to night? Now this is not a command for everybody, but it's a command for some people. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come and follow me.
