Are Grades a Perfect Gauge of Someone's Ability?
We have grades for a reason. They're there to make people work towards preset goals, but at the same time, there has to be some gauge. So i think it's its design to create both competition as well as some basic form, basic way to judge people’s abilities. But in my own experience, i found that to be a very imperfect model, i guess. And people want to have be judged as little as possible. If you're not getting an a, it means you're not as good as those who are.
