The 1619 Project from Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Nicole Hannah Jones is now nominated for three Emmys. Hollywood these days is a gerundtocracy, meaning it's an industry governed by old people. Only the same stars that mattered most in the 80s and 90s still matter to moviegoers. The so-called young Turks took over CAA in their 30s; many of these people are still running the business.
