Papain and bromelain can help break down protein, but only if taken as a supplement. I doubt you can produce non-alcoholic fatty liver disease with whole foods like fruit or meat. But there's also a reality that fruit isn't always available in equatorial regions. And so could one get into problems from over consuming fruit and say like total fat load?
