The Assimilation of the Jewish Community

After 1967, Israeli culture took over Jewish culture life in the U.S., says David Perry. He was involved in the 60s and 70s in the alternative Jewish radical movement to build a an alternative Jewish culture in the United States. But that gets overwhelmed by these Zionist cultural forms brought in by emissaries, he says. "It takes over, it fills a void," Perry says.
